Our horses’ lineage goes back to JW Shoemaker’s Bar Nothing Ranch which he started in New Mexico in 1932 from some of the great Foundation Horses such as Sheik, Old Fred, Peter McCue, and Plaudit. JW’s first stud was Nick, by Sheik. Nick was the sire of Nick Shoemaker who was the sire of Hank Wisecamp’s Skipper W. He continued with Gold Mount (sire of world champion running mare Maddon’s Bright Eyes) Nugget McCue S by Gold Mount, Hug Bars by Kid Bars by Three Bars, and Sailor Que by Nugget McCue S. Dan Eddleman, JW’s grandson, added Oar Lock by Hug Bars, Monte Lux by Leo Lux by Leo, Captain Kent by Mr. Bar None by Three Bars and out of Leolina by Leo. He also added the breeding lines of Dash for Cash, Bugs Alive in ‘75, Peppy Sand Badger, Beduino, Sugar Bar Buckaroo (Jac Be Quick), Dry Doc, The Signature, Judge Cash, and Corona Cartel.
